This Privacy Policy describes how Oathill Media LLC ("Consumer Finds," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about visitors to consumer-finds.org (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

When you contact us through the Site (for example, our contact form, an email, or a privacy request), we collect the information you choose to submit. That typically includes your name, email address, and the contents of your message.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information, including:

  • IP address (typically truncated for analytics)
  • Device, browser, and operating-system information
  • Pages viewed, referring URL, time and date of visit, and approximate location (country/region)
  • Information collected through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies

2.3 Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for three purposes:

  1. Strictly necessary — to make the Site work (e.g., remembering session-level state).
  2. Analytics — to understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it.
  3. Advertising — to measure the performance of advertising we run on third-party platforms (such as Google and Meta) and to help those platforms show more relevant ads.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you refuse cookies or alert you when one is set. Refusing cookies may affect parts of the Site.

3. Analytics and advertising partners

3.1 Analytics

We may use third-party analytics services (for example, Google Analytics) to understand aggregate Site usage. These services may set their own cookies and process data such as IP address and pages viewed under their own privacy policies.

3.2 Advertising networks

We run advertising on third-party platforms, including Google Ads and Meta (Facebook/Instagram). To measure ad performance, we deploy conversion-tracking technologies on the Site, including:

  • The Meta Pixel (and Conversions API), which lets us measure how Meta-platform ads drive Site activity.
  • Google Ads conversion tags and / or Google Tag Manager.

These tools may share certain information (such as a hashed identifier, page URL, and event type) with the relevant ad platform. The platforms may use this information to attribute ad clicks, build audiences, and personalize advertising. Their use is governed by their own privacy policies.

3.3 Affiliate networks

When you click an affiliate link on the Site and visit a merchant site, the merchant or affiliate network may set cookies to attribute the referral to us. We don't control those cookies. See our Affiliate Disclosure for more.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Operate and maintain the Site
  • Respond to your messages and requests
  • Measure and improve content performance
  • Run, measure, and optimize our advertising
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or security incidents
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share information with:

  • Service providers who host, secure, analyze, or otherwise help operate the Site (e.g., hosting, email, analytics, form processing).
  • Advertising partners as described above (Google, Meta).
  • Affiliate merchants and networks when you click an outbound affiliate link.
  • Legal and safety recipients when we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with the law, enforce our Terms, or protect rights, property, or safety.
  • In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Some of this sharing may, under certain U.S. state laws (including California's CCPA/CPRA), constitute "sharing" or a "sale" of personal information for purposes of cross-context behavioral advertising. See Section 7 below.

6. Data retention

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Contact-form submissions are typically retained for up to 24 months. Aggregate analytics data is retained on rolling windows set by the analytics provider (often 14 to 26 months). Advertising-platform data retention is governed by the relevant platform.

7. Your rights — California (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected, used, disclosed, and shared.
  • Delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information.
  • Not be retaliated against for exercising these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@consumer-finds.org with the subject line "Privacy Request — California." We may need to verify your identity before responding.

"Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information"

If you'd like to opt out of cross-context behavioral advertising on the Site, email us at support@consumer-finds.org with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share." You can also enable a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser; we honor GPC signals where required by law.

8. Your rights — EEA, UK, and other GDPR-style jurisdictions

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar data-protection rules, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Have inaccurate data corrected
  • Have your data deleted
  • Restrict or object to certain processing
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent)
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Our legal bases for processing under the GDPR include your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and promoting the Site, and our compliance with legal obligations. To exercise any of these rights, email support@consumer-finds.org.

9. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. No system is 100% secure, however, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

11. International transfers

We are based in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for such transfers.

12. Third-party links

The Site contains links to third-party websites, including merchants we recommend. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not ours.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be flagged on the Site for at least 30 days.
